Anuvrat was a founding member of the management team that built Cleantech Solar from its inception in 2015 to a 1 GW solar franchise. As a Director, Shareholder, and Head of Business Development, he led the growth of the firm until the recent sale of Cleantech Solar to the private equity firm Keppel Capital.
Anuvrat joined Cleantech with over 10 years of experience in investment banking, corporate M&A and project finance with Bear Sterns, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and First Solar in New York.
Prior to his finance and solar career, Anuvrat was a theoretical physicist with a doctorate and a post doctoral fellowship in the area of strongly correlated electron systems.
Anuvrat holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BS+MS from IIT Kanpur.
Mr. Venkatraman led the execution of projects for Cleantech Solar in India. Over 500MW of solar projects were commissioned under his supervision and are viewed as the gold standard in the industry.
Mr. Venkat is an industry veteran with a career spanning over three decades in power and renewable energy. He has led project execution and procurement for large Indian corporates and MNCs. He and his teams have overseen the addition of 2+ GWs of power and renewable energy assets in the country.
Prior to joining Cleantech, Mr. Venkat built and led project execution teams at Duncan Engineering, KEC International, Prakash Industries and Sunsource Energy.
Mr. Venkat holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies in Delhi and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Ankur was the first member of the Cleantech Solar team that built a 1 GW portfolio over the course of eight years.
At Cleantech, Ankur contributed to both project management and business development, where he led the execution of 30+ solar projects and deal closures totaling over 100 MWs across India.
Prior to Cleantech, Ankur was a founding member of the R&D start up Monarch Power in Arizona, USA. Monarch developed the prototypes of numerous patented solar widgets. One of Ankur’s key prototype projects, the Solar Lotus, a retractable solar charger for EVs, was featured at CES 2014.
Ankur holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
